  Kareem spent seven years at Microsoft, latterly as MCS Delivery Director for the Middle East cluster, accountable for the delivery, growth and profitability of Microsoft Consulting Services engagements in Egypt, Bahrain, Oman and the wider region.

  Before that came ten years at EFG Hermes, where he joined as a senior solution developer and left as Software Development Director, running the department behind the firm's brokerage and online trading products and their FIX integrations with regional exchanges. He started out as a web developer at Link Development, and founded InTheKloud, where he is Chief Business Development Officer.

  He holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University and a BSc in engineering from Ain Shams University. He is an IASA certified architect, a Microsoft Certified Professional and a member of the FIX Trading Community.

  Hisham Mortada

  Hisham spent sixteen years at Microsoft, moving from data platform technology specialist to application platform solution specialist, then cloud solution architect, and finally Digital Advisor helping enterprise customers accelerate their digital transformation.

  He began as an application developer at the Al Ahram management and computer centre, then worked as a senior software engineer at OMS and as business applications coordinator at Pfizer. He is also technical advisor to Opus Talent Analytics.

  He is a Microsoft Certified Fabric Data Engineer Associate, a former Microsoft Certified Trainer and a GovStack certified practitioner, and holds a BS in accounting from Cairo University. At THNK he leads the digital and data practice, with a particular interest in ethical AI.

  Mohamed Khazbak

  Mohamed led software development at Beltone Financial for close to eight years. His team built an online trading system running on web and mobile, the automated trading system behind the market making of the first ETF in Egypt and the Arab world, and the firm's research management, CRM and business process platforms.

  Before Beltone he was a software team lead at EFG Hermes, where he architected the EFG Hermes Streamer from scratch, re-architected the order management and B2B systems, and improved the FIX services across the region. Earlier he ran systems and networks at Mubasher.

  He is CEO of InTheKloud and Chief Technology Officer at Creditor Financial Technology, and was CTO of Vetwork. He holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a BSc in computer engineering from Al-Azhar University, and is TOGAF 9 certified.

  He is Executive Managing Director and Chief Business Officer at Creditor Financial Technology, Executive Managing Director at 3anuta Microfinance, and a shareholder in Benchmark Investments. He also sits on the board of Benchmark Consumer Products and is vice chairman of Carewell.

  He holds a BEng in electrical, electronic and communications engineering technology from the University of Greenwich, is a Certified Expert in Microfinance, and holds certifications in ESG, AML and corporate directorship (CDCP).

  He began at EFG Hermes as a senior solution developer, designing, building and testing enterprise solutions across the full software lifecycle. He later advised Thndr on technology, works as a software engineer with CleanSlate Centers in the United States, and co-founded InTheKloud, where he is Chief Technology Officer.

  He is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in .NET 4.0 data access and service communication foundation, and holds an engineering degree from Helwan University.

  He most recently served as Vice President, MENA at IFS. Prior to IFS, he was Head of Business Process Transformation for the Middle East and Africa at SAP, where he held multiple leadership roles spanning business transformation and technology. Earlier in his career, he held several roles at Microsoft, building a strong foundation across technology, enterprise solutions, and business development.
